Robert “Bobby” Garnett Hawkins Sr.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., Monday, Dec. 1, at the Geesey-Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel for Robert (Bobby) Garnett Hawkins Sr., 82, who died Saturday, Nov. 29, 2014, at Toledo Bend.

Rev. Charles Crews, pastor of First Methodist Church, conducted the funeral services and the burial followed in the Woodlawn Cemetery. Visitation was observed Sunday from 4 p.m. until 10 p.m. and Monday from 8 a.m. until service time.

Bobby was born June 15, 1932, in Krotz Springs to the late Alton and Lillian Camille Hawkins. He was a veteran of the United States Army and proudly served his country during the Korean War. He was a 32nd degree Mason and a member of Masonic Lodge 243 of Crowley.

He is survived by his wife, Margery K. Hawkins of Crowley; daughter, Darlene (Beaver) Hoffpauir and life partner Caliene Frederick of Toledo Bend; son, Robert (Garney) Hawkins Jr. and wife Rose of Duson; and three grandsons, Austin, Ross and Michael Hawkins.
