Josephie Bernadette Ledet

Funeral services for Josephie Bernadette Ledet, 67, will be held Saturday, Dec. 6, at 11 a.m. at Northside Assembly of God Church, located at 809 E. Northern Ave. in Crowley. Bishop Aaorn Wilson will preside. Interment will be at West Crowley Cemetery.

Josephie was called from this world Nov. 27, 2014.

Josephie Ledet was born July 7, 1947, in Lafayette to Alice Andrus and William Lazard. She attended school at Paul Breaux High and Lafayette Regional Nursing School. She was a faitfhul member of Bibleway Baptist Church.

She is survived by her mother, Mrs. Alice Andrus of Crowley; her children, Latoya (Darrell) Howard, Dexter Ledet and Shenika Ledet, all of Lafayette, Matthews (Mathilda) Ledet III and Labana Ledet of Crowley. She also adopted and raised her niece and nephew, Josephine Charles and Joseph Charles of Marksville. She is also survived by her sister, Eloise Guillory of Vallejo, California; brothers, Johnny (Rita) Bellard of Chesapeake, Virginia, Clarence (Patricia) Bellard Sr. of Alamagardo, New Mexico, Houston (Iashia) Vallier of Stockton, California, Warren (Ester Lee) Andrus and Walter Andrus, all of Crowley, and Drs. Tracy (Sonya) Andrus of Marshall, Texas; a special friend, Walter Beverly of CroWley; and other relatives and friends.

Carrying Josephie to her eternal rest will be Walter Andrus, Joshua Andrus, Felton Howard, Percy Andrus Jr., Dominique Ledet, Lanie Ledet, Quenci Ledet, Carlton Doucet, Ernest Doucet, Patrick Weston, Martin Doucet and Tracy Andrus Jr.

Honorary pallbearers are Matthew Ledet III, Dexter Ledet, Joseph Charles, Warren Andrus, Walter Beverly, Clarence Bellard, Houston Vallier, Dexter Ledet, Willie Andrus, Tracy Andrus, Johnny Bellard, June Lazard, Darius Ledet and Damien Ledet.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Wilturner Funeral Home, 577 N. Avenue C, Crowley.
