Lambert selected as All-State Orchestra associate concertmaster

Crowley violinist Hunter Jon Lambert, left, a 17-year-old senior at Notre Dame High School of Acadia Parish, was awarded associate concertmaster in the 2014 Louisiana All-State Orchestra. Lambert was selected for the prestigious honor by audition, competing against high school students across the state. Lambert, the son of Sandy and Jay Lambert, also received academic achievement recognition from the Louisiana Music Educators Association (LMAE) for maintaining a 4.0 grade point average. The Louisiana All-State Orchestra event was held at the Crowne Plaza in Baton Rouge on Nov. 23 and was hosted by the LMAE. Maestro Dr. Gene H. Moon of Stephen F. Austin University and conductor of the three-day conference culminating in a concert by the All-State Orchestra, left, congratulated Hunter on his being honored.
