Midland, Northside Christian earn playoff births in boys basketball

First round action begins this week
BATON ROUGE
Two of Acadia Parish's seven basketball-playing high schools will see longer seasons as Midland High and Northside Christian School earned playoff births today.
In the announced brackets, the Rebels earned the 4 seed in Class B. They will play No. 29 Doyline in the first round. The winner of that matchup will play the winner of No. 20 Monterey at No. 13 Glenmora.
In Class C, the Warriors, a 21 seed, will play No. 12 Plainview. If they can escape the first round, Northside Christian would play the winner of No. 28 First Baptist Christian at No. 5 Johnson Bayou.
Midland concluded its regular season with a 24-5 record while Northside Christian closed at 12-23.
