New Frog Festival queens to be named this weekend

The titles of Jr., Teen, Miss and Ms. Frog Festival will be awarded this weekend on Saturday, March 14, during annual festivities held at the Rayne Civic Center.
Jr. Frog Festival Queen
Sponsored by Preceptor Alpha Chi Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, Jr. Frog Festival Queen Payton Broussard will crown her successor during the pageant held that morning for girls who will turn 10 years of age by March 14, 2015 and no older than 13 years of age by that same day.
An informal interview with qualified judges will begin at 9 a.m., along with modeling in formal attire.

Frog Festival Queens
The 2015 Rayne Frog Festival Queen, Teen and Ms. Queen Pageants, sponsored by the Rayne Frog Association, will also be held this weekend on Saturday at 6:30 p.m. at the Rayne Civic Center. Tickets will be available at the door at a cost of $10 each.
To be eligible to compete for the title of Frog Festival Queen or Frog Festival Teen Queen:
(1) must be between the ages of 17 and 23 years of age for Queen and between the ages of 14 and 16 years of age for Teen Queen; (2) must be single and have never been married or had a marriage annulled; (3) you must not be pregnant or have never had a child; (4) must be of good moral character and never been convicted of any felony; and (5) must not hold any other title other than “City Queen” during your “Frog” reign.
To be eligible to compete for the title of Rayne Frog Festival Ms. Queen: (1) may be a single, married or divorced female over the age of 24; (2) must be of good moral character and never been convicted of any felony. A “Queen’s Agreement” outlining the rules by which the Rayne Frog Festival Miss, Teen and Ms. Queen must abide by will be sent to each contestant upon receipt of entry fee and form. Queens must bring this signed agreement for the competition.
The competition will consist of the following segments: interview for all categories; evening gown for Miss, Teen and Ms. categories; on stage question for top 4 finalists in Miss category only.
Concessions consisting of beverages (alcoholic & non-alcoholic) and chips will be sold.
