National Day of Prayer committee plans for event

The planning committee for the Crowley National Day of Prayer met on Monday, March 16, at the First Baptist Church. The new chairman, Peggy Sandidge, presided, along with vice-chairmen, Rev. Jimmy Broussard and Antoinette Pete. A tentative program was discussed and members volunteered for duty assignments. Zion Baptist Church; Lou Anna Grant, St. Theresa Catholic Church; Carolyn Prather, Grada Morgan, Bonnie Gaspard and Robert Gaspard, Northside Assembly of God; Pastor Zachary McCann, Our Savior’s Church; and Minister Mike Guidry, Greater Love Church. The 15th Crowley National Day of Prayer will be held at the Rice Festival Building on Thursday, May 7, at 6:30 P.M. The theme is “Lord, Hear Our Prayer.” Also present but not pictured was Elaine Simon, First Baptist Church.
