NAUW Crowley Branch plans for annual pageant

The monthly meeting of the National Association of University Women Crowley Branch was held on March 17 at the MLK Center in Crowley. In addition to regular business, the members finalized plans for a reception for their annual Little Miss NAUW/Master NAUW pageant. They also discussed the Crowley Branch’s Local Founder’s Day, to be celebrated at Ambassador Ministries on March 29 at 10 a.m., selected scholarship recipients to attend the 56th South Sectional Conference and planned to attend “A Tribute To Excellence” Banquet, with Dr. Ezora Proctor to be one of the honorees. On hand for the meeting were, seated from left, Betty Gums, Grace Brown, Cynthia Winbush, Evelyn Pleasure; standing, Martha Williams, Shelda Kelso, Hilda Jones, Meridian Vallery, Myrtle Cain, Jocelyn Potier and Charron Moore. Also present but not pictured was Dr. Proctor.
