Carolyn Sue Greene Patrick
A memorial service will be held at First United Methodist Church of Crowley on Friday, April 10, at 11 a.m. for Carolyn Sue Greene Patrick who passed away on April 7, 2015, at the age of 66 after a courageous battle with cancer.
Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until time of service at First United Methodist Church, located at 321 E. Third St. in Crowley.
Interment will be at Pleasant Valley United Methodist Church on Saturday, April 11, at 11 a.m., in Minden.
Carolyn was born in Magnolia, Arkansas, on June 11, 1948, to Buddy and Isabelle Greene. Carolyn graduated from Ferriday High School in 1966 and attended Northeastern University and USL. She married Ted S. Patrick in 1979 and they resided in Crowley.
She was the administrative secretary for St. Michael School of Crowley for the past 20 years. Carolyn was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Crowley. She was the secretary of the Acadia Players of Crowley for six years. She loved the theater and performed in Steel Magnolias, Grease, Christmas Bells, Southern Hospitality and assisted with Cinderella and Some Enchanted Evening.
Survivors include her mother, Isabelle D. Greene; one brother, Jesse L. “Chuck” Greene and wife Trish; two nephews, Jesse A. “Jess” Greene and wife Kimberly of Pearland, Texas, and Jordan Greene of Rayne; one great-niece, Amalie Greene; stepson, Kenneth Patrick and wife Petra and son Kevin of Enterprise, Alabama; Aunt and Uncle Joyce and Gene Lavender of Iowa; Aunt Mercedes Ivins of Texas; and many cousins.
Carolyn is preceded in death by her husband, Ted S. Patrick; her father, Jesse L. “Buddy” Greene; Aunt and Uncle Nelwyn and Bill Hollenshead; parental grandparents, Jesse and Emma Greene; maternal grandparents, Susie and Jim Compston; Aunt Marion Culpepper and Aunt Sarah Berry.
A special thanks to Rosanna Haure and her family, St. Michael School parents, faculty and staff; Ferriday High School class of ’66; Acadia Players of Crowley and members of First United Methodist Church for their abundant prayers and support during her illness.
