RHS class of ‘60 enjoys 55-year class reunion

A number of classmates and guests of the Rayne High School graduating class of 1960 gathered on Saturday, March 28, 2015, at Chef Roy’s Frog City Café in Rayne in celebration of their 55-year class reunion.
Reunion committee members included Gayle Guillot, James and Helen Quebodeaux.
The 26 classmates attended the 6 p.m. reunion from Rayne, Duson, Branch, Church Point, Scott, Lafayette, and points of Texas, California and Missouri.
Remembered during the reunion were the deceased classmates, including Rose Marie Murdock, Harold David, Jerry Menard, Felicia Badeaux, James Borne, Myra Bordelon, Robert Breaux, Gene Bihm, Albert Roy Menard, Robert Pharr, Agnes Trosclair, Sue Ann Vorries, Ethel Alleman Pierce and Lorraine Matte.
Class officers were president Susan Reed, vice presdient Robert Pharr, secretary Betty Prejean, treasurer Phil Babineaux, Sgt.-at-Arms Lionel Boudreaux, and parliamentarian Patrick Bourque.
Classmates in attendance included Pat and Betty Prejean Bourque, Ed and Sally Touchette Thevis, James and Helen Morgan Quebodeaux, Melvin Bearb, Jeff Bouillion, Jeanette Doucet Arnaud, Elva Guidry Duhon, Shirley Dupuis Doré, Gayle Hoffpauir Guillot, Joycelyn Prejean Roger, Marlene Melancon Terro, Gary Frugé, Dorothy Mire Thibodeaux, Irby Leger, Frances Robinson Bihm, Yvonne Sonnier Myers, Lionel Boudreaux, Kathryn Richard Johnson, Patrick Babineaux, Alvin Boudreaux, Carroll Kelly, Roland Miller and Willie Belle Lyons Sarver.
