Laureate Mu Chapter hears of Alaskan cruise
Members of Laureate Mu chapter of Beta Sigma Phi met at the home of Nancy Tislow on April 7.
Tislow presented a program on the cruise she took to Alaska with her daughter and son-in-law.
During the regular business portion of the meeting, spray bleach was collected to bring to Miss Helen’s Soup Kitchen.
The May meeting will be held at the home of Shirley Griffin, and members were asked to bring toilet tissue for the soup kitchen.
It was decided that as a cultural outing members would attend the April 16 HoneyHoney performance at Levy Park.
On the chapter calendar for May is a visit to the Hilliard Museum, and, in June, the chapter’s members plan to attend the George Rodrigue exhibit in New Iberia.
Program assignments for Founder’s Day, which will be held at the Rice Palace on April 30, were reviewed.
Members present and enjoying social time following the meeting were Glenda Atkinson, Shirley Griffin, Brenella Joubert and Phyllis Triggs.
