6th Man Sports completing another productive season
The local program of 6th Man Sports finished the 2014-2015 regular with several national exposure events and with over 50 student-athletes participate in this year’s spring program.
The organization’s mission is to instill academic excellence, values, discipline and leadership in student-athletes. 6th Man Sports takes great pride in working with student-athletes to strengthen skills and teach the fundamentals of sports.
During this year’s season, the 10th grade team finished second in the Future 150 Tournament held in Birmingham, Ala. and will be headed to a National Exposure Event on July 22-27 in Las Vegas, NV.
The 9th Grade Team won the AAU Louisiana State Championship and will be headed to Memphis, TN on July 7-13 to participate in AAU Nationals.
The 8th grade team finished third in the Future 150 tournament while the 7th grade team finished fourth in the AAU Louisiana State Tournament.
All 6th Man teams are having such great success do to the overwhelming support of the City of Rayne and throughout Southwest Louisiana. A commitment was made in 2012 to bring an Elite Sports Program to the City of Rayne and Southwest Louisiana.
6th Man strives to give student-athletes, teams, parents, and coaches a fun and rewarding experience that will last a lifetime.
In order to maintain these services, 6th Man is seeking any type of contribution to the program, either monetary or goods/services. Contributions will enable the local teams to participate in their upcoming National Tournaments where they can compete and gain prominent exposure. “By contributing today, you will help build for tomorrow”
