Linda Hebert Moreau
Rayne, LA - A Mass of Christian Burial for Linda Hebert Moreau, 62, of Rayne will be celebrated on Monday, July 6, 2015 at 10:00 A.M. in St. Joseph Catholic Church, Rayne. Father Samuel Fontana, Associate Pastor of St. Joseph Catholic Church, will serve as celebrant. Serving as giftbearers are Jan Moreau, Mackenzie David, and Madison David. Todd David and Michael Hebert will deliver the readings. Entombment will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery #2 Mausoleum, Rayne.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 5, 2015 from 10:00 A.M. until 10:00 P.M. in Gossen Funeral Home, Rayne, with a rosary being recited at 7:00 P.M. Visitation will continue on Monday from 8:00 A.M. until 9:30 A.M.
in the funeral home.
Mrs. Moreau passed away on Friday, July 3, 2015 at 9:44 A.M. in a Lafayette hospital.
A native of Rayne, Mrs. Moreau had lived in the Houston area for several years before returning to Rayne a few months ago. She had worked for Rayne Rice Drier for nineteen years as a secretary.
Mrs. Moreau was a faithful member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. She enjoyed fishing and flower gardening, but she was happiest when she was spending time with and caring for her family.
She also loved caring for her canine companions, Abbie and Hoot.
Survivors include her husband, Robley Moreau of Rayne; daughters, Sherrie David and husband, Todd of Rayne, Christine Melancon and husband, Michael of Houston, TX, Jan Moreau and companion, Heaven LeBlanc of Rayne, and Annie Moreau and fiance, Wade Rebardi of Carencro; son, Christopher Moreau of Rayne; mother, Elsie Dumisnil Hebert of Church Point; sisters, Sheryl Peterson and husband, Scott of Germantown, MD, Antoinette Cole and husband, Kenneth of Lawtell, Albon Bellard, Jr. and wife, Patricia of Church Point, and Michael Hebert and wife, Janice of Church Point; grandchildren, Mackenzie David, Madison David, Megan David, Macie David, Noah David, Tyler Melancon, Caleb Melancon, Nicholas Moreau, and Morgan Moreau. She is also survived by a host of other relatives and friends.
Preceding Mrs. Moreau in death were her father, Francis Hebert; and brother, Kevin Hebert.
Serving as pallbearers are Tyler Melancon, Caleb Melancon, Michael Melancon, Nicholas Moreau, Morgan Moreau, and Tyler Simon. Named as honorary pallbearers are Noah David, Albon Bellard, Jr., Michael Hebert, Scott Peterson, Earl Estilette, Gerard Olinger, and Wade Rebardi.
