Premeaux marks 86th birthday

Jean Premeaux of Crowley celebrated her 86th birthday on Saturday, June 27, with a delicious boiled crab feast at BZ Crawfish Restaurant here in town.
Premeaux was born in Branch on June 27, 1929, to Amanda and Warren Prather.
She was married to the late Dudley Premeaux, and they had two children, Danna Premeaux Guillot of Lafayette and Jerrie Premeaux St. Amant of Katy, Texas.
Premeaux was joined by her daughters and their spouses, Paul Guillot of Dale St. Amant for a relaxing celebration with plenty of love and laughter.
For many years, Premeaux has been active in the prayer ministry of The Upper Room as well as jail ministry. She enjoys weekly Scrabble games with long-time friends, as well as spending time with her sister, Dorothy Vondenstein, and sister-in-law, Carol Prather. She also spends time visiting family and friends in local nursing homes.
Premeaux has been blessed with three grandchildren, and she has two great-grandchildren with one more that is due in August on the way.
