Rayne High Football Season Underway

With only days before the start of a new school year, the 2015 football season is in full swing this week as practice begins, along with plans for Rayne High’s 2015 Homecoming, slated Sept. 18th.
Practice began Monday, Aug. 3, with shoulder pads to be added next week in preparation for the Opelousas High Schimmage slated the following week on Aug. 20th.
Rayne High will pay special tribute to the graduates of classes ending in “5” during the annual week-long Homecoming programs and activities, including the Friday evening game against Breaux Bridge High.
Important dates have also be labeled for the start of the Rayne High School football season, including:
Aug. 20 - scrimmage vs. Opelousas;
Aug. 27 - Acadia Parish Jamboree at Gardiner Memorial Stadium hosted by Crowley High School (6 p.m. Church Point vs Iota, followed by Rayne vs Crowley).
