Bryan Anthony Guidry

A Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, Aug. 15, at 10 a.m. at St. Theresa Catholic Church in Crowley for Bryan Anthony Guidry, 57, who departed this life on Saturday, Aug. 8, 2015, at Jennings American Legion Hospital.
Visitation, at the request of the family, will be held at the church prior to Mass beginning at 8:15 a.m. Saturday. Father Godwin Imoru will preside. Internment will be at West Crowley Cemetery.
Bryan was born June 24, 1958, to the late Mr. and Mrs. Ivory (Bertha) Joseph Guidry Sr.
Bryan was kind-hearted and enjoyed reading and watching Westerns. Before his illness progressed, he enjoyed family gatherings, cooking and a good ole laugh. He was definitely one of a kind.
He is survived by two sons, Dimetrius (Stephanie) Guidry of Rayne and Jamel Guidry of Crowley; three sisters, Brenda Guidry of Lafayette, Lisa Morgan of Ellenwood, Georgia, and Paula (Aaron Jr.) Curtrer of Rayne; two brothers, Kenneth (Lavetta) Guidry of Crowley and Gregory Guidry of Jennings. Bryan has seven grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews relatives and friends. He was very close friends with Harold (VonHess) Savoy, James Montgomery, John Martin and David Bennett.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Sidney (Hilda) Guillory Sr.; paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Charlie (Mamie) Guidry; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ivory (Bertha) Guidry Sr.; and one brother, Ivory Guidry Jr.
Wilturner Funeral Home of Crowley has been entrusted with arrangements.
