Perry “Slick” Breaux
PORT ARTHUR, TEXAS –– Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 3, 2015, at St. James Catholic Church, 3700 Gulfway Drive, Port Arthur, Texas, for Perry “Slick” Breaux, who passed away Monday, Sept. 28, 2015, at 1:15 a.m. at the Medical Center in Port Arthur, Texas.
Mr. Breaux was born Nov. 6, 1952, in Rayne, La., the son of the late John and Rose Barkley Breaux of Rayne, La.
As a young man, he attended Our Mother of Mercy Shrine. A 1971 graduate of Rayne High School, he played both basketball and football for the Rayne High Wolves.
Mr. Breaux married Brenda Eaglin of Church Point and had three children, Shawn, Rekisha and J’Perry Breaux, all of Port Arthur.
He worked for the City of Beaumont, Texas, for many years until his retirement.
He leaves to cherish his fond memories his wife, three children; ten sister, Marie Pickens, Dora Logan, Lillian Senegal, Margaret Julien, Bonnie Evans, Connie Breaux, Nelia Lake, all of Rayne, Michelle George, Myra Breaux, both of Crowley, and a dedicated sister and brother-in-law, Mona Bias and Louis Bias, Jr. of Port Arthur; three brothers, Terry of Lafayette, Jerry of Rayne and Gary of Houston, Texas; a very close friend, Morris Carter of Rayne; grandchildren, nieces nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews and a host of cousins, relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Rose Breaux; brother Dorris Julien; and a son, Sharone Creer.
