Lucy W. Murray

A Liturgy of the Word was celebrated for Lucy W. Murray, 92, at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 28, at Duhon Funeral Home Chapel–Crowley with Rev. Clint Trahan officiating.
Visitation began Friday, Nov. 27, at 2 p.m. until 8 p.m. with a Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6 p.m. and resumed Saturday at 10 a.m. until just prior to the time of service.
Interment followed the service in Woodlawn Cemetery.
Mrs. Murray passed away on Thursday, Nov. 26, 2015, at 12:55 a.m.
Mrs. Murray is survived by her son, Johnny Murray and wife Pat of Breaux Bridge; grandchildren, Kim LeBlanc Gonzales and husband Joseph of Orange, Texas, Teri Murray Thibodeaux and husband David of Carrollton, Texas, Chris LeBlanc and wife Heather of Baton Rouge and Ann Murray Ortego of Cary, North Carolina; eight great-grandchildren, Gabrielle Gonzalez, Sarah Gonzalez, Jacob Gonzalez, Jonathon Thibodeaux, Bailey Thibodeaux, Logan LeBlanc, Megan LeBlanc and Brendan Ortego.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry S. Murray; parents, Avery Watkins and Mary Romero Watkins; daughter, Genny LeBlanc; as well as two brothers, Sidney Watkins and Ogden Watkins.
The family would like to express heartfelt thanks to the entire staff of Hospice of Acadiana and Southwind Healthcare and Rehabilitation for the care given to Mrs. Murray.
