Ceveron Prejean
The family and friends of Ceveron Prejean are mourning the loss of their loved one who was called from this life on Dec. 22, 2015, at the age of 93.
Ceveron was born in Carencro to Willie Prejean and Ametile Hanks Prejean on Nov. 12, 1922. Ceveron worked for Zigler Shipyard as an electrician’s helper for 22 years before retiring. He loved eating sweets. Ceveron loved being outdoors, especially when he was working in his garden or cutting grass. Ceveron was loved by many and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Ceveron is survived by his beloved wife of 70 years, Anna Mae Simon Prejean of Jennings; one son, Tommy Lee Prejean (Ella) of Jennings; one daughter, Shari Denise Prejean-Rardin (Doug) of Wills Point, Texas; one sister, Sadie Doucet of Jennings; three grandchildren, Kristy Fontenot, Shana Prejean and Mia Hulin; two step-grandchildren, Blake Rardin and Mallory Rardin; and five great-grandchildren, Jance, Alyssa, Drew, Tatum and Talon and one more on the way.
Ceveron was preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Ametile Prejean; and two sons, Kenneth Wayne Prejean and Carroll James Prejean.
Funeral services for Ceveron Prejean will be held at the First Church of Christ Church in Jennings on Saturday, Dec. 26, at 11:30 a.m. with Brother Paul Estes officiating. Burial will follow in Roberts Cove Cemetery.
Visitation will be held at Matthews & Son Funeral Home in Jennings on Saturday, Dec. 26 from 9 a.m. until the time of his funeral service.
Carrying Ceveron to his final resting place in Roberts Cove Cemetery will be Blake Rardin, Marty Fontenot, Jance Prejean, Shane Hulin, James Doucet and Paul Manuel.
