Sidney “Buster” Lognion

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, March 14, at 11 a.m. at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, Crowley for Sidney “Buster” Lognion, 79, who died Saturday, March 12, 2016, at 10:29 a.m. at Golden Age Nursing Home in Welsh.
“Buster” was a native of Rayne and longtime resident of Crowley. He retired from the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development as a sign foreman. He was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church and for many years enjoyed planting flowers, his garden and baking pies
Fr. Matthew Higginbotham, pastor of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, will officiate for the services. The family requests visiting hours Sunday 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Monday from 8 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. A rosary will be recited Sunday at 6:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
“Buster” is survived by one sister, Pat Martin and her husband Burnell of Crowley; one niece, Sandra Guillory of Lake Charles; and three great-nieces, Annette Habetz of Moss Bluff, Hailey Martin of Atlanta, Georgia, and Nadia Farke of Moss Bluff.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Pete and Estella Trahan Lognion; one sister, Dorothy L. Broussard; and one nephew, Darren Martin.
The family wishes the thank Golden Age Nursing home for their dedication and care of Mr. “Buster” these last five months.
