Patricia Baer Domingue

Rayne, LA--We give thanks to God, the Father, for the abundant and joyous life He gave to Patricia Baer Domingue. Pat was one of eleven children born to Louis and Jeanne Baer in Rayne, LA on June 30, 1925. Mom passed from her earthly home on March 24, 2016 in Port Arthur, TX at the age of 90.

She is preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Miriam Richard, Margaret Ann McGrew, Phillip Baer, Sigmund Baer, and Louis "L.H." Baer.

Left behind to continue loving her are her children, Daniel Domingue of Sunset, Gary Domingue of Baton Rouge, Steven Domingue and wife, Amy of North Carolina, and Patti Steele and husband, Barry of Orange, TX; and siblings, Yvonne Gary of Liberty, TX, Joanne Rodriguez of Port Arthur, TX, Kay Weidner of Aubrey, TX, Max Baer of Gonzalez, and Bernard Baer of Lake Jackson, TX. She also leaves behind five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Ms. Domingue worked as a nurses' aide at Rayne-Branch Hospital for many years before moving with her children to Houston, TX. She made a new life for herself, becoming an EKG Technician and working hard to provide for her children. She relocated to Port Arthur, TX a few years ago, and lived independently until shortly before her death. Her greatest joy in life was caring for and being with her family.

Graveside funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at 1:00 PM in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery No. 2 Mausoleum, Rayne, with entombment to follow.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 29, 2016 from 10:30 AM until 12:30 PM in Gossen Funeral Home, Rayne, with a rosary being recited at 11:30 AM in the funeral home.
