Businesses across Acadia Parish are being invited to learn more about boosting business using social media.
“Best Practices on Social Media for Business” will be sponsored by Acadia General Hospital and hosted by OneAcadia on Thursday, April 21, from 9 to 11 a.m. in the Green Room at 318 Gossen Memorial Drive (behind the Rayne Civic Center).
Destin Ortego, project coordinator with The Opportunity Maching, will share how to create and maintain an impactful presence across social media platforms, including how to create effective ads.
“Connections through these platforms are among the fastest ways to share about your business programs and services and maintain a top-of-mind awareness in the market,” said Laurie Suire, president and CEO of OneAcadia.
“Every business and organization should send someone to these who can become more knowledgeable on the trends that will boost business.”
Suire added that the two-hour time frame will allow ample time for networking, the presentation and a question-and-answer session
The Opportunity Machine delivers services aiding entrepreneurs’ growth via three critical areas:
•-Deal Making: sales, marketing, public relations, e-commerce, branding and more;
•-Technical Delivery: building, development, product design, service delivery; and
•-Administration: accounting, legal, reporting, metrics, goal-setting and more.
Through applied coursework, mentorship and peer relationships and infrastructural support, such as space utilization, technology access and one-on-one counseling, The OM helps entrepreneurs focus their efforts on what matters most and generates the greatest results.
