Ann Daigle Doucet LeBlue
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 30, at St. Joseph Catholic Church for Ann Daigle Doucet LeBlue, 89, who died June 23, 2015, in Iota.
Fr. Jude Thierry, pastor of St. Joseph Catholic Church, will be officiating for the services. The family is requesting visiting hours to be held Monday from 10 a.m. until 9 p.m. and Tuesday from 8 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. A rosary will be recited at 6:30 p.m. Monday. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.
Ann was born Jan. 31, 1926, in Evangeline. She was a homemaker most of her life and raised her children alone after her husband died at an early age. She taught them love and good family values. She loved spending time with her sisters having coffee and her grandchildren were the love of her life.
She is survived by two daughters, Sharon Doucet Plaisance and husband Larry of Iota and Gail Doucet McClelland and husband Kurt of Youngsville; one son, Michael Doucet and wife Bealinda of Iota; one stepdaughter, Carol LeBlue Elliot of Lake Charles; two stepsons, Doug LeBlue of Baton Rouge and Kenny LeBlue of Baton Rouge; five sisters, Ernestine LaFleur, Marjorie LeJeune, Helen LaFleur, Carrie Simon and Elgia Connor; one brother, David Daigle; three grandchildren, Joshua, Jeremy and Mary and Matthew McClelland; and three great-grandchildren, Alex, Elijah and Ariel McClelland.
Ms. LeBlue is preceded in death by her first husband, C.C. “Pete” Doucet Jr.; her second husband, Houston LeBlue; her parents, Leonard and Marelia LeJeune Daigle; three sisters, Ella Mae Deshotel, Ruth Miller and Cecile Miller; four brothers, Wilson, Leroy, Elray and Floyd Daigle; two grandchildren, Jill Elizabeth Richard and Jordan Daniel McClelland; and one son-in-law, Ronnie Richard.
Pallbearers will be Joshua McClelland, Larry Lejeune Jr., Craig Lejeune, Jeff Richard, Darryl Lejeune and Charles Daigle.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jeremy McClelland, Matthew McClelland, Kurt McClelland and Larry Plaisance.
