Annie Duhon Jagneaux
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, Oct. 11, at 1 p.m. at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church for Annie Duhon Jagneaux, 99, who died Thursday, Oct. 9, at 1 a.m. in Crowley.
Mrs. Jagneaux was the owner/operator of the Red Barn Snow Cone stand in Crowley. She was a member of Woodmen of the World and Crowley Rice City Senior Citizens Club, of which she was queen in 1996.
Fr. Mikel Polson, pastor of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, will officiate for the services. The family requests visiting hours Friday from noon to 10 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. A rosary will be recited Friday at 6:30 p.m. by Mrs. Ding Hoffpauir.
Burial will be in Woodlawn Mausoleum.
Mrs. Jagneaux is survived by three daughters, Barbara Jagneaux of Crowley, Patsy Jagneaux of Egan and Donna Gaudet of Crowley; four sons, Daniel Floyd Benoit of Livingston, Texas, Leo Benoit of Cleveland, Texas, Carroll Benoit of Alvin, Texas, and Larry Jagneaux of Carencro; two sisters, Gladys Cathy of Mesquite, Texas, and Hattie Hemmen of Houston, Texas; 23 grandchildren, 46 great-grandchildren and 48 great great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Eloi Jagneaux; one son, Louis H. Benoit; five brothers, Lolan Duhon, Dudley Duhon, Claude “Pete” Duhon Sr., Velvet Duhon and Paul Duhon; two stepsons, Frances and Eugene Jagneaux.
Pallbearers will be Randy Aube, Kevin Benoit, Ronnie Lavergne, Wilson Benoit, Lonnie Aube and Troy Benoit.
The family wishes the thank, Dr. M.N. Katira, Dr. Robert Aertker, the staff of Acadia General Hospital, and the staff of Hospice Compasius for their compassionate care of Mrs. Jagneaux.
