Rayne, LA - Memorial services will be held at Gossen Funeral Home Chapel, Friday, October 16, 2015 at 10:00 am for Catherine Monceaux , 58, who died Tuesday, October 13, 2015 at her residence in Rayne, LA.

Interment will be in the St. Joseph Cemetery #2, Rayne, LA.

Surviving are one son, Neal Guidry and wife Ashley of Lafayette, one granddaughter, Eleanor Guidry of Lafayette, two sisters, Angela Monceaux Costilla and husband Ray of Lafayette, Cyndi Monceaux Abshire and husband Jude "Butch" of Rayne. Her beloved nieces and nephews; Shelly Havlik (John), Jack and Matt; Sara Aguillard, Joshua and Jonah; Monique Porter (Reggie), Makaela, Nicholas, Katiana; Michael Monceaux (Yuki); Justin Abshire (Faith), Eathan and Caroline; Ashley Granger (Brendan), Savannah and Wyatt; Amelia Abshire, Her godchild ・Raymond Masciarella, III

She was preceded in death by father, Joseph Deus "J.D." Monceaux, mother, Marguerite Boudreaux Monceaux, two brothers, Terry Monceaux, Darryl Joseph Monceaux, one nephew, Andrew Jude Abshire.

Cathy began her automotive career in 1984 at Giles in Lafayette, LA. After several years at Giles, she moved to Boca Raton, FL to manage Champion Porsche Audi. She quickly developed a large circle of friends that became her extended family. That circle included the Masciarellas, the Highland Beach Crew, Ray and Charlotte Roberts, Dave Mirage and many more. She thoroughly enjoyed being so close to the ocean. Later in her life, she reacquainted with her high school friends, otherwise known as the “YaYas”, and they enjoyed many fun trips and time spent together. After twenty years of living near her beloved ocean, she returned to her hometown of Rayne. She wanted to be near her family as she faced a tough battle with cancer. She was so pleased to be home and closer to her precious granddaughter, Eleanor Rose.

Friends will be received at Gossen Funeral Home, Inc., Rayne, LA. Friday, October 16, 2015, 8:00 am until 10:00 am at Gossen Funeral Home, Inc., Rayne, LA.
