Clarice Dischler Stewart
Clarice Dischler Stewart, at age 83, entered eternal life on Dec. 20, 2015, after a brief illness. As her final act of generosity, Clarice donated her body to science and research.
A Memorial Resurrection Mass is scheduled for Jan. 9, 2016, at 10 a.m. at St. John Cathedral in Lafayette. Family and friends are invited. Celebrant will be Fr. Chester Arceneaux and homilist will be Fr. Jerry Mesley.
Clarice was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Stewart; her parents, Charles and Clara Olinger Dischler; her sister, Barbara Reed; brothers, Charles, Alvin and Robert Dischler; and nephew, Karl Leonards.
Survivors include sisters, Cecile Landry of Rayne, Julia Thompson of Lafayette, Marjorie Walker of Iota and Carol Leonards of Crowley; and brothers, Ferdiand Dischler of Lafayette, Thomas Dischler of Iota and Michael Dischler of St. Landry Parish.
