Claude Babineaux
A private graveside service was held for Claude Babineaux, 88, who died at 2:50 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 4, 2015, at Southwind Nursing and Rehabilitation Home.
Mark Broussard, chaplain of Lamm Family Hospice Care, celebrated the service.
Claude was born June 23, 1927, in Carencro. He served his country in the United States Army during World War II and the Korean War. He owned and operated Rice City Radio and TV in Crowley for many years.
He is survived by a daughter, Jan Villejoin and husband Farrel of Crowley; four sons, Leslie Babineaux and wife Janet of Carencro, Michael Babineaux of Crowley, Brian Babineaux and wife Mim of Breaux Bridge and John Edward Babineaux and wife Jan of White Oak, Texas; a sister, Amelia Boudreaux of Crowley; two brothers, Curtis Babineaux and John Babineaux, both of San Antonio, Texas; 12 grandchildren and one great-grandson.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Peacock Babineaux; parents, Luke and Olivia Venable Babineaux; seven sisters, Lydia Leger, Jeanne Miller, Earline Fontenot, Regina Babineaux, Ethel Babineaux, Olive Hebert and Edalie Johnson; and two brothers, Ulysse Babineaux and Lloyd Babineaux.
The family would like to thank their extended family at Southwind and Lamm Family Hospice for their loving care for Mr. Claude.
