Eloise Anderson Dopson
A memorial service for Eloise Anderson Dopson will be held at the Church of the Assumption on Main Street in Franklin on Saturday, Jan. 30.
Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. until the service at 11 a.m. at the church. Fr. Lloyd Benoit will be the celebrant of the memorial.
Eloise, a resident of Steubenville, Ohio, was born Nov. 21, 1928, in Franklin. She died Wednesday, Dec. 30, 2015, at Trinity West. A Mass was held during the first week of December at St. Peter Catholic Church in Steubenville.
In addition to having worked at Crowley Mental Health and Cleveland Construction of Crowley, Eloise was employed as an ad sales representative for many years with the Crowley Post-Signal. In that position, she called on clients, laid out and proofed ads, distributed tear sheets to clients, handled phone inquiries and processed national ads.
Eloise was very active in civic organizations and was a member of the American Business Women’s Association and Rosary Makers in Steubenville. She was a member of American Legion Auxiliary Unit 15. She enjoyed working, keeping busy in clubs and organizations and visiting family and friends.
She is survived by one son, Cy, of Steubenville; two daughters, Arlene (Richard) Hall of Crowley and Shannon (Marc) Cardaronella of Olathe, Kansas; one brother, Bill (Marguerite) Anderson of Baton Rouge; one sister, Mae Thibeaux of Jeanerette; and thee grandchildren, Monique Romero and John and David Cardaronella.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Mamie Ecure Anderson; one brother, John Anderson; and one sister, Billie Ruskoski.
