Funeral Services will be celebrated for Mrs. Ethel Lee Thomas Charles on Saturday, February 8, 2014, 1:00 PM, Starlight Baptist Church, 206 Webb Street, Rayne, LA. Burial will be in Community Gardens Cemetery (Formerly Rayne Protestant Cemetery).

Ethel Charles was born on July 27, 1927 to the late James and Evelyn Sennett Thomas of Rayne, LA. She was one of sixteen kids. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, watching game shows, and solving word puzzles.

Left to cherish her memories is three sons, Rudolph (Agnes) Charles, Jr. of Scott, LA, Bobby (Mamie) Charles of Boling, TX; Dennis (Debra) Thomas, Sr. of Rayne, LA; three daughters, Shirley Ann Gibson of Houston, TX, Sammie Gail ( Felton) Charles of Rayne, LA, and Lisa Ann (Isaac) of Rayne, LA; one sister, Rosetta Manuel of Lafayette, LA; one brother, Henry Lee (Laura Bell) Thomas of Crowley, LA; one sister-in-law, Lillie Mae Bates Thomas of Crowley, LA, 91 grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Evelyn Thomas; her loving daughter, Cheryl Lynn Thomas; five sisters, Helen Thomas, Orelia Bernard, Lillie Mae Thomas, Addie Thomas, Mary Martha Thomas; and one brother, Samuel Thomas, Sr.

Viewing will be Saturday, February 8, 2014 from 8:00 AM until the time of service at Starlight Baptist Church, 206 Webb Street, Rayne, LA.
