Floyd Foreman

Rayne, LA -A Mass of Christian Burial for Floyd Foreman, 78, of Rayne will be celebrated on Friday, March 13, 2015 at 1:00 P.M. in St. Joseph Catholic Church, Rayne. Father Kendal Faulk will serve as celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery #2.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 12, 2015 from 10:00 A.M. until 9:00 P.M. in Gossen Funeral Home, Rayne, with a rosary being recited at 6:00 P.M. Visitation will continue on Friday from 8:00 A.M. until 12:30 P.M. in the funeral home.

Mr. Foreman passed away on Tuesday, March 10, 2015 at 4:45 P.M. in a Lafayette health care facility.

A native of Acadia Parish, Mr. Foreman was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. He retired as a truck driver for 7UP Bottling Company. Mr. Foreman thoroughly enjoyed being with people, especially his family. He lived the Cajun lifestyle, and loved to pass a good time with French music, cooking, and eating. Mr. Foreman will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Survivors include his daughters, Sue Broussard Miller and husband, Rodney of Youngsville, Donna Moore and partner, Dale Hoyle of Harlem, GA, Angela Glenn and husband, Michael of Lafayette, Renee Champagne and husband Randy of Youngsville, and Amanda Campbell and husband, Ray, Jr. of Rayne; step-daughters, Jolene Meche of Pennsylvania, Alma Meche of Allentown, PA, Tina Comeaux and husband, Jamie of Rayne, and Tracey Zaunbrecher and husband, Vincent, Jr. of Rayne; twin sister, Florence Broussard of Rayne; brothers, Tyson Foreman and wife, Faye of Rayne, and Gerald Foreman and wife, Barbara of Rayne; 17 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Preceding Mr. Foreman in death were his wife, Evelyn Richard Foreman; son, Roderick Foreman; parents, Turney Foreman and Edith Richard Foreman; and brothers, Mervin Foreman, Alec Foreman, Sanearl Foreman, Bervert Foreman, and Wilson Foreman.

Serving as pallbearers are Dale Hoyle, Michael Glenn, Randy Champagne, Vincent Zaunbrecher, Jr., Ray Campbell, Jr., and Jamie Comeaux. Named as honorary pallbearers are Tyson Foreman, Gerald Foreman, and Terry Foreman.
