Hilda Thibodeaux Richard

A Mass of Christian Burial for Hilda Thibodeaux Richard, 85, of Rayne was celebrated on Saturday, October 5, 2013, at 1:00 p.m. in St. Joseph Catholic Church, Rayne.  Father Kendal Faulk served as celebrant.  Interment followed in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery #2, Rayne.  
Visitation was held on Friday, October 4, 2013, from 4:30 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., with a rosary being recited at 7:00 p.m. in Duhon Funeral Home.  Visitation continued on Saturday from 8:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. in the funeral home.
Mrs. Richard passed away on Friday, October 4, 2013 at 9:30 A.M. in a Rayne care facility.
A longtime resident of Rayne, Mrs. Richard was also a 20 year resident of Franklin.  She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Rayne, and she served as a member of Ladies Altar Society.
Survivors include her daughter, Debra Richard Fusilier and husband, Roger, of Rayne; sons, Karl Richard and Ralph Breaux of Rayne; sisters, Ruby Gilliland of Broken Arrow, OK, and Mary Lou Bertrand of Florida; grandchildren, Jeremy Abshire and wife, Shantel, of Rayne, and Kaisha Trahan of Rayne; great-grandchildren, Caleb and Cohen Abshire of Rayne; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Preceding Mrs. Abshire in death were her parents, Sidney and Rose Richard Thibodeaux; husband, Ernest Richard; son, Curtis Joseph Breaux, Jr.; sister, Hazel Breaux; and brothers, Gus Thibodeaux, Ashton Thibodeaux, Gabriel Thibodeaux, and Larry Thibodeaux.
