Jeffery Wayne Perry

The family and friends of Jeffery Wayne Perry are mourning the loss of their loved one who was called from this life on May 5, 2014, at the age of 52. He was from Mermentau. 

Jeffery was born in Lafayette to the late Charles Kelly Perry Sr. and the late Loretta Kibodeaux Perry on Oct. 17, 1961. Jeffery worked as a security guard for the Jennings American Legion Hospital. He enjoyed working with his hands doing carpentry work and upholstery work. He especially loved eagles. Jeffery was loved by many and will be greatly missed.

Jeffery is survived by his three brothers, Bobby Perry and wife Roxy, Mickey Dale Perry and Kenneth Perry, all of Mermentau; two sisters, Ruby Johnson and Betty F. Viator and husband Gary, both of Mermentau; and numerous friends that he held dear to his heart. 

Jeffery is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Loretta Perry; one brother, Charles Kelly Perry Jr; and one sister, Mary Perry Breaux

Funeral services to honor Jeffery’s life will be held at Matthews and Son Funeral Home in Jennings on Wednesday, May 7, at 10 a.m. with Rev. J.C. Batley officiating. Burial will follow in Mermentau Cemetery.

Visitation was held at Matthews and Son Funeral Home in Jennings on Tuesday, May 6, from 2:30 p.m. until 9 p.m. and resumes on Wednesday at 8 a.m. until the time of his funeral service.
