Joel Charles Robbins, Jr.

A Memorial Service will be held in Lake Charles at a later date for Joel Charles Robbins, Jr., 81, who passed away on Tuesday, February 17, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. at Acadia General Hospital in Crowley.
Survivors include his wife, of fifty four years, Laura Q. Robbins of Lake Charles, LA.; one daughter, Melanie and husband, Gerry Vallow of Houston, TX.; three grandchildren, Jason and wife, Meagan Abshire of Spring, TX., Jerod and wife, Laryn Abshire of Lake Charles, LA. and Brandon and wife, Sarah Abshire of Lake Charles, LA.and Amber and husband, Will Kenney of Jacksonville, North Carolina;; and two great-grandchildren, Keslyn and Meredith Abshire.
Mr. Robbins retired from Olin Chemical in Lake Charles after forty three years of service.
Mr. Robbins was preceded in death by his parents, Joel C. Robbins, Sr. and Lelia C. Robbins Fontenot.
