Juanita Robichaux Murrell

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 18, at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church for Juanita Robichaux Murrell, 85, who died June 16 at Regional Medical Center of Acadiana.

Fr. Mark Miley, associate pastor of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, will be officiating for the services. The family is requesting visiting hours to be held Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Wednesday from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. A rosary will be recited at 6:30 p.m. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.

She is survived by four daughters, Roberta Schmaltz and husband Bill of Crowley, Marlene Prather and husband Edwin of Crowley, Bernadette Moeller and husband Karl of Crowley, and Mary Abshire and husband Jackie of Crowley; four sons, Darold Murrell Jr. and wife Donna of New Orleans, John Murrell and wife Shirley of Crowley, David Murrell and wife Kathy of Crowley, and Jeffrey Murrell Sr. and wife Deborah of Egan; one sister, Wanda Bergeron of Lafayette; one brother, Ray Robichaux of Crowley; 34 grandchildren; and 47 great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Murrell is preceded in death by her husband, Darold Murrell Sr.; and her daughter, Cindy Benoit; her parents, Wiltz and Adonia Vincent Robichaux; and one brother, Floyd Robichaux.
