Judy Kibodeaux Stutes
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 28, at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church for Judy Kibodeaux Stutes, 74, who died April 23, 2016, at Acadia General Hospital.
Fr. Matthew Higginbotham, pastor of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, will be officiating for the services. The family is requesting visiting hours to be held Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Thursday from 8 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Wednesday. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
She is survived by four sons, Jerry Stutes and his wife Alice of Egan, Byron Stutes Sr. and his wife Rosalyn of Iota, Harold Stutes Sr. of Rayne and Darrell Stutes and his wife Johnna of Carencro; one sister, Barbara Landry and her husband Chester of Iowa; two brothers, James Kibodeaux and his wife Vickie of Crowley and Albert Kibodeaux and his wife Charmaine of Egan; 13 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Judy is preceded in death by her first husband, Sweeney P. Stutes Jr.; her second husband, Rufus M. Lacroix Sr.; her parents, Adam and Viola Clement Kibodeaux; one brother, Kenneth Kibodeaux; niece, Crystal Kibodeaux; nephew, Nathanial Kibodeaux, and two great-grandchildren, Parker Daigle, and Keaghyn Parsons.
