Juliana Kathryn Gerami

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 16, at a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Genevieve Catholic Church in Lafayette for Juliana Kathryn Gerami, 18, who died on Sunday, March 13, 2016.
Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.
Reverend F. Hampton Davis III will be the celebrant of the Funeral Mass and will conduct the funeral services. Reverend Monsignor Robert Angelle (her great-uncle) will concelebrate. Lectors will be Carla Listi Gerami (her godmother) and Heidi Gielen Viator. Giftbearers will be Samantha Rivero and Malika Broussard.
Survivors include her parents, Glenn Gerami and Tracey Gielen; her siblings, Cody Gielen and wife Nicole Denning Gielen, Annelise Gerami and Joseph Gerami; her nephew, John Charles Gielen; her maternal grandparents, John Dan and Peggy Angelle Gielen; her paternal grandparents, Gerald and Barbara Foreman Gerami; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Juliana was born in Lafayette on June 19, 1997. She attended St. Genevieve Catholic School and graduated with honors from Teurlings Catholic High School in 2015, where she was very involved in Campus Ministry, Music Ministry and Speech and Debate.
Juliana also participated in multiple school plays where she portrayed “Belle” in Beauty and the Beast which was her last major role. Juliana was a true “Belle” in her own life. She loved animals, reading, singing and had a zest for life. She had an unmatched love for God and all His creation! She will best be remembered for her colorful spirit and vivacious personality, spreading joy and love wherever she went. She will be deeply missed, but always lovingly remembered.
Pallbearers will be Kyle Robichaux, Hagan Calais, Hunter Mansour, Grant Gerami, Noah Segura, Tucker Dunand, Adam Gachassin and Todd Gerald Gardiner.
A Rosary will be recited on Tuesday, March 15, at 7 p.m. by Rev. Hampton Davis in the funeral home.
The family requests that visitation be observed on Tuesday from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. in Martin & Castille’s Downtown location and on Wednesday the family will join everyone at St. Genevieve Catholic Church at 10 a.m. to celebrate Juliana’s life.
