Kristine Zaunbrecher Schippers

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 29, at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church for Kristine Zaunbrecher Schippers, 44, who died at home surrounded by her family on Jan. 24, 2016.
Fr. Nathan Comeaux, pastor of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Delcambre, will be officiating for the services with Fr. Mikel Polson, pastor of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church of Crowley, and Fr. Taj Glodd, associate pastor of St. Pius X Catholic Church in Lafayette, concelebrating.
The family is requesting visiting hours to be held Thursday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Friday from 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. A rosary will be held 7:30 p.m. Thursday evening.
Interment will be in St. Leo Cemetery in Roberts Cove.
She is survived by her husband of 21 years, Willi Hubert Schippers of Crowley; one daughter, Laura Elizabeth Schippers of Crowley; three sons, John William Schippers, Christian Michael Schippers, and Gabriel Thomas Schippers all of Crowley; three brothers, Greg Zaunbrecher of Abbeville, Nick Zaunbrecher and wife Cindy of Crowley, and Michael Zaunbrecher and wife Heather of Iota; her father-in-law, Hubert Schippers of Horst, Germany; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Kristine is preceded in death by her parents, Otto and Sylvia Armstrong Zaunbrecher; and her mother-in-law, Maria Schippers.
The pallbearers will be Greg Zaunbrecher, Nick Zaunbrecher, Michael Zaunbrecher, Andrew Zaunbrecher, Randal McElwee, and Brett Gauthreaux.
