Mervine Joseph “Rusty” Johnson Jr.

Funeral services will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 8, at St. Theresa Catholic Church in Crowley for Mr. Mervine Joseph Johnson Jr., 57, who passed away on Thursday, July 30, 2015, in Crowley. Interment will be in South Crowley Cemetery.
Father Godwin Imoru will be officiating the funeral service.
Mr. Johnson was baptized and attended St. Theresa Catholic Church for many years. He was a veteran of the United States Army.
Mr. Johnson is survived by his mother, Shirley Johnson of Crowley; one brother, Harold “Dwayne” Johnson and wife Debra of Crowley; one sister, Inca Johnson Allen and husband Michael of Lafayette; one stepbrother, Anthony Johnson Sr. and wife Charlene of Carencro; and a host of nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his father, Mervine Joseph Johnson Sr.; and one stepsister, Mary Alice Johnnie.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, Aug. 8, from 11:30 a.m. to noon at St. Theresa Catholic Church with a rosary to be recited at noon. Services will follow at 12:30 p.m.
