Funeral services will be held at Gossen Funeral Home Chapel Thursday, Oct. 22, at 2 p.m. for Michael James Aucoin, 36, who died Monday, Oct. 20, at Acadia General Hospital in Crowley.
Interment will be in the St. Joseph Cemetery #2 in Rayne.
Surviving are his wife, Pamela Doucet Aucoin; mother, Pasty Patin Aucoin and companion Cindy Myers; father, Nelson Aucoin Jr.; one sister, Christian Aucoin and husband Russell and their children, Sean and Shane; maternal grandmother, Dorothy Richard Patin; four step-children, Candie Espeseth and husband Paul and their child, Lili; Cindy Dupuis and husband RobbyII and their children, Savannah, Anna, and Robbie III; Erica Carter and husband Kyle and their children, Nkyoli, Aurora, and Velicity; Jessie Dupuis and wife Taylor and their child, Taizley; in-laws, Jerry and Linda Doucet; three aunts, Dorothy Patin Thevenet and husband Joel and their son, Nicholas; Arlene Baker and Mildred Bearb; one uncle, Larry Patin; and three brothers-in-law, Jerry Doucet Jr., Rogers’ Doucet and James Doucet.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Leo Paul Patin; and his paternal grandparents, Nelson Aucoin Sr. and Evella Aucoin.
Friends will be received at Gossen Funeral Home, Inc., Rayne, Wednesday, Oct. 21, from 3 p.m. until 10 p.m. and Thursday, Oct. 22, from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m.
