Reverend A. Ray Faulk

Funeral services for Reverend A. Ray Faulk, 85, of Westlake, will be held on Saturday, December 14, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. in Ebenezer United Methodist Church. Interment will follow in Ebenezer Methodist Cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Saturday from 11:30 A.M. until service time in the church.

Rev. Faulk passed away on Wednesday, December 11, 2013 at 10:20 P.M. in a Lake Charles hospital.

A native of Ebenezer, Rev. Faulk was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a graduate of McNeese State College, where he received a bachelor of science degree. 

Rev. Faulk was a pastor in Churches of the Nazarene throughout Louisiana, Texas, Mississippi, and Arkansas. He further served the Lord as an evangelist, which took him to the Virgin Islands and elsewhere. He was able to visit Jerusalem and to travel through the Holy Land. Rev. Faulk worked tirelessly to carry out The Great Commission and bring the Good News of Salvation to as many people as he could reach.

Survivors include his wife, Peggy Romero Faulk of Westlake; daughter, Jill Faulk Wade of Jackson, MS; son, Jerry Ray Faulk of Hammond; and grandsons, Noah Arnold, Joshua Arnold, and Kevin Ray Faulk.

Preceding Rev. Faulk in death were his first wife, Evelyn Henderson Faulk; parents, Leonard Conrad Faulk and Mabel Grace Atkinson Faulk; sister, Annette Keene; and brothers, Boyd Faulk, Hoyt Faulk, and Wade Faulk.
