Rodney Hill Sr.

Funeral service will be held Saturday, April 11, at 11 a.m. at Kinchen Funeral Home in Lafayette for Rodney Hill Sr., who passed away March 29, 2015.

Interment will be held at Calvary Cemetery.

Rodney was very engaging with a charming personality, he loved being with family and friends, he enjoyed cooking and fishing, however, he had a huge passion for tools. Rodney worked for Western Rivers Boat Management Inc., of Paducah, Kentucky, for over five years where he was able to enjoy his passion.

Rodney leaves to cherish his memories his children, Treasure and Rodney Hill Jr. of Port Arthur, Texas, and Trayon Ward of Thibodaux; stepdaughters, Jasmine Basier of Fort Polk and Ebony Windon of Lafayette; one granddaughter, Trinity Ward; siblings, Edward Hills Jr. and Paula Hills of Thibodaux and Teri Hastings of Baton Rouge; and stepsister, Sandra Johnson-Freeman of Dallas; godmother, Mercedes Bennet of Thibodaux; along with a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Rodney is preceded in death by his parents, Edward Hills Sr. and Audrey Joseph; brother, Larry Hills; maternal grandparents, Eugene and Grace Joseph; paternal grandparents, Paul and Octavia Hills; and aunt, Ethel Turner. 

Visitation will be held Saturday, April 11, from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Kinchen Funeral Home.
