Russell Louis Corbins Sr.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held, Saturday, Dec. 6, at 12:30 p.m. at St. Theresa Catholic Church for Russell Louis Corbins Sr., 78, who died Monday, Dec. 1, 2014, at 1:57 p.m. at Acadia General Hospital.

Fr. Imoru Godwin, pastor of St. Theresa Catholic Church, will officiate for the services. The family requests visiting at St. Theresa Catholic Church, located at 417 W. Third St. in Crowley, at 11:30 a.m. Burial will follow at West Crowley Cemetery.

Mr. Corbins is survived by his wife, Lucille Grice Corbins of Crowley; his mother, Virginia Antoine Corbins of Crowley; one daughter, Cynthia C. Scott and husband Dexter Sr. of Crowley; one son, Russell L. Corbins Jr. of Rayne; three sisters, Martha C. Cook and husband James of Crowley, Helen C. Randle of Crowley and Sarah C. Greer and husband Sam Sr. of Akron, Ohio; two brothers, Benjamin Corbins Sr. and wife Terry of Crowley and Alfred Corbins Sr. and wife Pamela of Lake Charles; four grandchildren, Crystal Corbins, Taija Meralla, Myoshia Meralla and Dexter Scott Jr.; step-grandson, Dimetrius Harrison; and two great-grandchilren, Chase Corbins, and Michael Kendrick.

He was preceded in death by one daughter, Mary Corbins Meralla; his father, Louis Corbins; and one grandson, Ryan Corbins.
