The turnaround at South Crowley in the past few years is getting another national honor, this time, with Principal Irma Trosclair being named one of seven national winners of the Terrel H. Bell Award for Outstanding School Leadership.

The Acadia Parish School Board has decided it’s time for a change.
South Crowley Elementary School Principal Irma Trosclair makes the announcement of the school’s honor to her faculty, staff and students. South Crowley Elementary School and Martin Petitjean Elementary School (Rayne) were each awarded Blue Ribbon recognition from the U.S. Department of Education, officially, Tuesday.
In a process that began last year, two Acadia Parish schools have earned an amazing honor.
South Crowley Elementary School last year learned it was nominated by the state as a Blue Ribbon school.
