Lady Wolves draw first-round bye at state

The Lady Wolves finished the 2014-15 season district runners-up to Teurlings Catholic once again.
With that finish and a 32-6 overall slate, Coach Stephanie Garrett’s crew will enter post-season as the No. 5 seed in Division III of the Louisiana High School Athletic Association State Playoffs.
“I haven’t seen either teams play,” noted Garrett on next week’s regional game. ““We’ll see tis week what they have and just play our best.”
With one of the top seeds in the state, the Lady Wolves will draw a bye in the first round of play this week. They will begin their road in state next week (Nov. 10) in the regional round as they take on No. 12 Berwick who collected a win this week against No. 21 DeQuincy.
Monday's contest is slated for 5 p.m. in the school's north gym.
