Lady Wolves remain tough in district play

The Lady Wolves (18-2, 4-0) kept their district slate clean as they collected a win against Church Point.
In a 3-0 straight match, the Lady Wolves collected a number of offensive plays from a large collection of Lady Wolves, each donating their skills on the day.
Tarya Kanonu led slightly in kills on the day with 4, along with 3 blocks and a dig.
Blair Bergeron added 3 kills and 2 digs.
Adding kills and blocks were Charlesha Dugas, Katie Benoit and Blakely Thomas.
The offense was led by assists from Ashley Thibodeaux (5) and Landri Reviere (4)).
Digs were led by Shelli Alleman (9), Jacie Fontenot (4), Blakely Thomas (3), along with numerous aces by Ashley Thibodeaux, Charlesha Dugas and Shelli Alleman.
The Lady Wolves also scored a non-district win over Breaux Bridge in a 4-game match.
Over the weekend, the Lady Wolves collected wins over Northside Christian, Jennings High and Hamilton Christian during the Jennings High Tournament. The day-long event was limited to pool play.
Rayne High will now travel to Lafayette this week where they will take on last year’s district champions, Teurlings Catholic.
