Wolves host RHS Wrestling Invitational, Rayne winners announced

The 2nd Annual Rayne Invitational Wrestling Tournament was held Saturday, Jan. 17, on the Rayne High School campus
Of the Rayne wrestlers competing, placing were:
Cooper Simon - 1st place in 106 lbs. class;
Andrew Arceneaux - 1st place in 195 lbs. class;
Mason Benoit - 2nd place in 285 lbs. class; and
Tanner Leger - 3rd place in 182 lbs. class.
Cooper Simon also received the “Outstanding Wrestler” award for the lower weight classes.
The Rayne Wolves placed third as a team, behind 1st place Fontainebleau and 2nd place McKinley.
Special thanks to all the teams who attended the tournament and for all the Rayne fans and volunteers who made the 2nd Annual Rayne Invitational a success.
