Wolves, Ladies split district games at Beau Chene

The Wolves and Lady Wolves continued district play with a road trip to Beau Chene High, seeing two different results on the night.
The Lady Wolves picked up a 56-37 district win over the Lady Gators, keeping their district slate clean at 7-0 thus far.
Leading the Rayne scoring was haresha Dugas with 11 points, along with 6 rebounds and 3 steals.
Amari Collins dumped in 10 points for the Lady Wolves, in addition to 8 rebounds and a steal.
Cierra Harmon and Tristan Mouton each collected 8 points towards the win.
Tasia Duhon had 5 points for Rayne, while teammates Whitley Larry, Tanner Wilson and Tarya Kanonu each donated four apiece. Larry also recorded 5 rebounds and 4 blocks.
In earlier action, the Lady Wolves hosted Crowley High and recorded a big 66-36 district win.
High scorer for the Lady Wolves’ romp of Crowley was Charlesha Dugas with 23 points in addition to 12 steals and 3 rebounds.
Whitley Larry hit double digits with 13 points, in addition to 3 rebounds and 3 blocks.
Amari Collins and Cierra Harmon each had 8 points for the Lady Wolves, while Tristan Mouton donated 5, and Tanner Wilson and Tasia Duhon each with 4 a piece.
The Ladies are scheduled to host Opelousas on Tuesday and Washington-Marion on Friday.
Wolves
The Rayne High Wolves split recent district games, a 72-61 win over Crowley High and a 67-48 loss to Beau Chene.
In Rayne’s win over Crowley High, Wolf Byron Mouton was high scorer with 23 points, along with 3 steals and 4 rebounds.
Teammates Drakkar Broussard and Charles Jones each scored 15 a piece for the Rayne win. Broussard als recorded 10 rebounds.
In Rayne’s loss to Beau Chene, the Gators were led byDatrevian Guilbeau and Julian Tibbs with 21 and 19 points, respectively.
Rayne High was led in the scoring column by Trevon Fontenot and Byron Mouton with 16 and 11 points, respectively.
Also helping with Rayne points were Drakkar Broussard with 9 points and 6 rebounds, Charles Jones with 5 points and 5 rebounds, and Jason Wheeler with a trey.

The Wolves are scheduled to host Opelousas on Tuesday and Washington-Marion on Friday.
