Rayne High Alumni Softball Tournament winners

Following an long-time absence, the annual Rayne High School Alumni Softball Tournament returned last weekend when the Rayne Booster Club hosted the 2016 event July 29-31, at Gossen Memorial Park in Rayne.
The class of 2008 took top honors, followed by the 2015 class who claimed second second place.
The following classes were represented with participating teams: 1996, 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2016.
As announced by Booster Club President Michelle Arceneaux, “On behalf of myself and the Rayne Booster Club, we would like to thank everyone for attending the Alumni Tournament. We’d like to thank all of our sponsors, volunteers, Dwayne Derise with the Rayne Rec, Rayne Police Department, Kona Ic, and Coach Garrett and Coach Tommy for doing what they always do behind the scenes. We’d like to also say a special thank you to the City of Rayne for all of the support. Our event would not have been such a success without all of you. Thank you and see you next year!
All proceeds from the tournament will go directly to the Rayne High coaches to be spent on RHS Athletes.
