Louisiana State Police, Troop I, has closed Interstate 10 eastbound at the Crowley exit due to a gas leak due to a pipeline rupture north of Rayne.

Westbound has been reopened as of 3 p.m.

According to spokesman for Troop I Master Trooper Brooks David, a fatal crash on I-10 East between Crowley and Rayne at mile marker 85.

Traffice was already beeing diverted prior to the crash.

It is unknown how long these closures will last.

DETOUR:

I-10 East - Closed at Exit 80, Crowley. Take Louisiana Highway 13 North to U.S. Highway 190 East to Interstate 49 South to I-10 East.
