Applications being accepted for scholarship

CROWLEY – The Memorial Educational Foundation announces that it will award the Mary Grace Pete Scholarship in May 2008. The $500 scholarship will be awarded to an academically able and needy student from a religious home.

The scholarship is awarded in memory of Mrs. Mary Grace Pete, a former citizen of the Acadia Parish community. Applications for the scholarship are available from the counselors at the high schools in the parish. To qualify, students from religious homes must be nominated by their pastor, priest, rabbi or religious leader. Letters of nomination, accompanied by transcripts of academic credits earned, should be sent to: The Memorial Education Foundation, 620 North M.L. King Jr. Drive, Eunice, LA 70535.
