Asa A. Hoffpauir

CROWLEY- Funeral services for Asa Antoine Hoffpauir, 80, who died Wednesday, December 10, 2008 at American Legion Hospital, were held Saturday, December 13, 2008 at 2 p.m. at Duhon Funeral Home Chapel in Crowley.

Reverend Jim Hoffman officiated the services.

Visitation was held Friday, December 12 between the hours of 2 and 10 p.m., and on Saturday, Decmeber 13 from 8 a.m. until time of service.

Interment took place in the Ebenezer Methodist Cemetery in Ebenezer.

Mr. Hoffpauir was a native and lifelong resident of the Ebenezer community. He was a loving brother, husband, and grandfather and a friend to anyone he met.

He worked for Leonards, Inc., a farm equipment and hardware store in the Crowley area for 26 years.

Hoffpauir is survived by one son, George and wife, Christine Hoffpauir of Crowley; one granddaughter, Jennifer Hoffpauir of Crowley; one grandson, Scott Hoffpauir; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Rufus F.(Lillia) Hoffpauir, Wilson (Betty) Hoffpauir, Albert (Winnie) Hoffpauir and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Louella S. Hoffpauir, his parents, Rufus C. and Frances Hoffpauir, four sisters, Eunice Faulk, Edith Hoffpauir, Irene Hoffpauir and Beula Hoffpauir, and one daughter-in-law, Brenda Foreman Hoffpauir.

The family wishes to thank the following doctors, Dr. Korab, Dr. Sabbaghian, Dr. Vincent, Dr. Walker and Dr. Saini. The staff and American Legion Hospital, Southwind Nursing Home and Heart of Hospice for their love, kindness and dedication to their loved one.
